Hongni Ye is a PhD candidate at HKUST (Guangzhou) under Prof. Dr. Xin Tong, specializing in Extended Reality (XR), generative AI, and embodied interaction design. With prior experience as a research assistant at the DKU HCI Lab and a Master’s in Digital and Interaction from Politecnico di Milano, where she collaborated with Prof. Dr. Tong, Prof. Dr. Ray LC, and Prof. Mario Covarrubias Rodriguez, Hongni focuses on creating innovative prototypes like AI-driven tangible AR for learning.
We designed a serious game, RedCapes, and recruited 9 children with ASD and 6 TD children to evaluate the game.
We designed a 360 VR videos-based system to depict real-life scenarios from a refugee camp with active and passive navigation.
WooGu: an educational system that integrates tangible user interfaces, digital feedback, and embodied interaction to enhance children's understanding of farming processes.
