In recent years, Jubensha (剧本杀), a socially interactive game, has gone viral in China. It has made a tremendous impact on Chinese young people, yet the impact has been seldom studied. This study aims to generate a unified definition of Jubensha, as well as investigate its impact on social interactions and players’ emotion through various mechanisms within Jubensha.
